Great Shepard's Pie Recipe

Here's a really yummy Shepard's Pie Recipe that my mom passed down to me. I love to serve it with fresh sweet yellow cornbread! Enjoy!

Ingredients:
1 or 1 1/2 lbs. hamburg (your choice)
8 or 9 medium-large potatoes
1 can cream corn
1 can regular corn

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Brown the hamburg in a skillet. Drain leftover grease. Put aside.
3. Peel, cut and boil the potatoes and then mash them. While mashing add 1 cup light butter and salt and pepper to taste to make nice and creamy. Put Aside.
4. Drain the Corn. Put Aside.
5. In a 9 x 9 or 13 x 9 baking pan put the hamburg on the bottom, then layer the corn, then put the mashed potatoes on top.
6. Lightly spread melted butter on top of the potatoe and salt and pepper the top to taste.
7. Put a few slits in the potatoes.
8. Bake in oven for 20-30 minutes until golden brown. Do not cover.
9. Enjoy!
10. Meal making tip: Serve with sweet yellow cornbread!

Verse of the Day: "In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven." Hebrews 1:1-3
